York's Late Music Ensemble celebrates Thea Musgrave’s 90th birthday year with her solo works for flute, cello, and piano, plus music related by themes of friendship and celebration. The programme features works by her sometime teacher Nadia Boulanger and fellow emigré and Tanglewood tutor Bohuslav Martinů. The concert will be preceded by introductory talk by James Whittle on the subject of Musgrave's music (6.45 pm).
